Hello, my name
is Tracey which is
where the “T” in CreativiT originated. My
love for crafts started at an early age with printed cross-stitch and I later
taught myself how to do counted cross-stitch to now designing some of my own
patterns. A few years ago I started scrapbooking and I have been hooked every
since. I have learned that scrapbooking is only half the fun and now enjoy DIY
projects, decorations, and making unique gifts for my friends and family. I also
enjoy crocheting and would like to learn how to knit. Through this blog I hope
to share with you my passion for crafty projects while also learning from you as
well.
Now a little
about me – During the day I work for a large firm as a call center supervisor. I
am a wife to a very loving and supporting husband who I just happened to date
while in high school. I am also a mother to two wonderful boys, Jordan and
Brandon, and a beautiful daughter Jessicia. Two years ago I learned the joy of
becoming a Nonnie to our wonderful grandson Tyler and our granddaughter Brooklyn
will be joining us in March. As you can imagine they all keep me busy but I
wouldn’t change a thing.
I come from a
very creative family but we were all blessed with different talents. My mother
is the thread that keeps us all together and prays blessings over us every day.
She also has the talent of sewing and making just about anything. My father is a
woodworker making very delicate pieces using a scroll saw who has passed this
hobby on to one of my nephews. My brother is musically inclined when he takes a
notion to play as well as my oldest son who is a drummer. My sister is a
wonderful decorator and talented with a sewing machine, but her best work comes
from a paint brush as she has been featured in art shows and her artwork is
hanging in the homes of others. With these talented people in my life it is easy
to see where I get my passion to be creative.
